I am still so very sad that my dear friend in Alaska, Lynda Moore, who inspired me to quilt has gone to be with the Lord in a tragic murder/suicide. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I loved her dearly. She was a wonderful Christian woman who loved and gave her life for others.

True, I started quilting at 63
I have fallen in love with quilting! I never thought I would be able to quilt. I have a very dear friend in Alaska who was a master quilter and looking at her beautiful quilts I thought to myself "there is no way I could ever do that".
Well, I came across one of my mother's quilt tops, hand sewn (shown on my cover) and decided that some day I would figure out how to quilt and finish her quilt. My mother passed away in 1999.
I completed a quilt for my granddaughter's preschool, quilted several baby blankets, and started on an underground railroad quilt project that is still in the working.
What a wonderful hobby!
