I've been incredibly bad about blogging lately....well, let's be honest....for the past year!  I've been busy, what can I say.   How busy can a 64 year old woman be you ask?  Well, I take care of grandkids while my son and his wife work.  Need I say more?  Okay I will.  The grandkids are now 11 and 5.  I started taking care of them when they were 2 and 8.  They are active, in sports, swimming and now in ballet so yes, they keep grandma busy.  But not too busy to quilt, when I can.  I've made another quilt for my granddaughter's preschool auction.  What do you think?  It grew much bigger than I had planned.  It's my own design, all machine pieced and machine quilted, hand embroidered, and free-motion quilted on the white squares.  It was loads of fun making but I'm glad to be finished.  You can only work with a quilt for so long before you really begin to hate the thing!  I'm beginning to appreciate why some quilters send their tops to a long-arm quilter....because when it comes back quilted all beautifully, you can appreciate all that hard work again.  I don't use a long-arm quilter mainly because they are so expensive.  I'm learning how to free-motion quilt, but mostly I stitch in the ditch, unless the quilt is a small one.

I've also been inspired to start my own business.  More on that later, but you can find me at bonniessewingroom.com.  Here are some of my other projects of late.
